Engaging Early Learners in STEAM

STEAM [science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics] has become a buzz term in education lately, with many researchers and STEAM experts advocating for STEAM exposure very early in a child's school career. Many early childhood teachers, though, have questions about bringing STEAM into their classrooms: How? Why? What? All of these questions (and more) will be answered in this professional learning workshop! Participants will gain an understanding of why STEAM is important in early childhood classrooms and will engage in easy to implement STEAM activities. This day will be very hands-on, with teachers leaving with ready to implement activities!
